What is a "SIOR" Broker?
A member in the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors exemplifies knowledge, integrity, quality and professionalism of the highest degree. There are only 2,500 active members that hold this coveted designation, which is based on obtaining the necessary classroom instruction. These brokers form a global network in more than 1000 offices in 350 cities in the United States, Canada and around the world. Society members specialize in meeting the needs of their clients, maximizing the performance of investment property portfolios, negotiating leases and purchases, and providing essential commercial real estate brokerage services.

The Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS© is a leading professional commercial and industrial real estate association. SIOR represents today's most knowledgeable, experienced, and successful commercial real estate brokerage specialists. 
The 'SIOR Network' includes more than 3,100 members in 480 cities in 20 countries on six continents.

Transaction dollar amount
Last year, SIOR members reported an average per person dollar volume of US$25.7 million.  Cumulative dollar volume for all SIOR members was US$51.7 billion.  Dollar volume is the value of a transaction (lease value or sale price) divided by the number of brokers involved in the transaction.
 
Transactions closed
As a group, SIOR members closed 68,442 transactions last year.  This equates to approximately 34 transactions per member.
 
Space leased or sold
SIOR members leased or sold an average of 1.2 million square feet (111,500 square meters) per person last year.  Cumulatively, they leased or sold 2.4 billion square feet (22.3 million square meters) of space.
